The logo appears to be a rectangular design with a robust and monochromatic colour scheme, predominantly in blue. The left side features a stylised symbol within a rounded square that depicts an abstract representation of a globe with a prominent star and crescent shape.
The right side of the logo is occupied by the text "ADASTRA FELLOWS" in bold capital letters. The text is also in blue, matching the iconography on the left, which ensures brand consistency and visibility.
The design conveys a sense of professionalism and a global perspective, aligning with the organisation's mission to provide impactful research and thought leadership on a global scale.
The symbol depicted in the image is a stylised representation of a globe with a shooting star encircling it. The globe is simplified to its basic form, with a stand at the bottom, while the star appears to be in motion, indicated by the two trailing lines behind it.
This design symbolises global reach or aspirations, with the shooting star perhaps representing ambition, exploration, and a dynamic approach to global issues. It conveys a sense of progressiveness and forward-thinking that align with the ADASTRA's mission and values.
The brand colours in the symbol consist of a dark blue background with white elements. Dark blue is often associated with professionalism, reliability, and trustworthiness. White is used for the details and stands out against the blue, symbolising clarity, simplicity, and precision. Together, these colours create a classic and professional palette that conveys seriousness and sophistication, suitable for an organisation focused on research, knowledge, and global affairs.
The emblem consists of a stylised star with dynamic lines conveying motion, suggesting a shooting star. Around the star, there is a curved line that could represent the trajectory of the star or perhaps the horizon of a celestial body, giving the impression of the star orbiting around it. The design elements are simple yet bold, with clean lines and sharp angles in the star, providing a modern and sleek look that would stand out even on a smaller scale. The colour contrast between the blue and white is strong, ensuring good visibility and recognition. It conveys a sense of aspiration, movement, and exploration and achievement, aligning with the organisation's themes of progress and reaching for higher goals.
We use the e-Ukraine and e-Ukraine Head font, the official typeface developed for state services in Ukraine. It's designed to be modern and inclusive, ensuring readability for people with visual impairments. "e-Ukraine" is the primary font intended for the majority of texts, while "e-Ukraine Head" is a display version used for state institutions' names in logos.
The following points collectively shape ADASTRA's ethos, portraying it as a forward-thinking, principled organisation focused on creating impactful change through research, policy, and global cooperation.
