Research Methods in Social Sciences School

RMSS is an educational and practice-oriented project designed to foster a new generation of analysts in the fields of international relations, politics, social sciences and the humanities.
The programme aims to equip participants with systemic thinking, strong analytical competencies, and the ability to work effectively with information in a rapidly changing global environment.

Overview of RMSS

Throughout 2025, ADASTRA Think Tank team conducted three editions of RMSS Analytics School: an initial pilot programme, followed by two editions held in open online and offline formats. The School brought together experts from government institutions, top Ukrainian universities, and other analytical centers.

RMSS I

An in-depth training program covering full cycle of preparing an analytical article — from defining research objectives and sourcing materials to OSINT/SOCMINT methodologies, copyright issues, fact-checking, and academic style.

The programme is delivered by practitioners and scholars (including experts from DeepState, NGRN, and ADASTRA editors).

RMSS II: Africa

ADASTRA hands-on program in which participants go through the full process of developing an analytical article — from defining research objectives and sourcing materials to editing and preparing the final text.
The course examines Africa’s regional dynamics, including the influence of China and Russia, Western policy approaches, and the engagement of Türkiye and the Gulf countries.
